Dear Jeff, et al,
Our house in Desert Highlands is finished except for a few decorating
details, and, thanks to you, we're delighted with the results. We're
pleased with the quality of materials, the skill of the workmanship
and the success in meeting the budget.
We told you we wanted a very rustic, southwestern
style of house with a huge, round great room where our whole
extended family could
gather. We offered few details, but you selected a designer,
Ann Nissen, who has great imagination and a passion for things
rustic.
Then you encouraged us to go out and find whatever special
things would truly reflect the feeling we wanted to capture.
You'd make
them work, you said. Though you probably didn't envision some
of the "treasures" we selected, you were true to your
word. Among the many accommodations you made to our growing love
of the
natural or rustic look, you made the antique, arched door fit
in the powder room; reinforced a ceiling beam to support a light
fixture
that was "as heavy as a small car;" and retrofit a old,
decorative door to replace a conspicuous mechanical door. And
you hand-peeled the vigas to preserve the knots and natural
blemishes, just as we wanted.
We're especially happy with the cabinetry and the tile work, both
of which reflect not only your selection of craftsmen but also your
input on design. The ceiling work in the house shows your careful
attention to detail as well as your ability to shift gears during
the construction process to improve the end product.
Throughout the whole process, you worked hard to ensure our satisfaction
with the house, and we wanted you to know how much we appreciate
your effort.
Sincerely,
Don and Judy Soukup
